About Us
Hello. I’m Jenny. I offer a fun, safe, reliable and friendly dog walker service based near Kirkby Lonsdale and Burton in Kendal. I have lived here for most of my life and have three years experience of walking dogs in this area.

Four Paws Dog Walking is based in the small market town of Kirkby Lonsdale in Cumbria on the south eastern corner of the Lake District and not far from Kendal. We cover the surrounding area including villages such as Ingleton, Melling, Barbon, Whittington and Burton in Lonsdale.

Four Paws is run by Jenny who grew up on a farm in the local area;

“I grew up with dogs on the farm and have always enjoyed seeing how much they enjoy being out in the countryside, running and playing and interacting both with nature and with people. Dogs are always at their happiest when they are having fun and getting stimulation from the people they love and trust as well as with other dogs.”

“I provide a professional and caring service and aim to give your highly valued family pet exercise, fun and stimulation with walks in a variety of locations in the local countryside. It is a great responsibility to take charge of someone else’s dog and I do everything possible to keep them safe and well and I treat them as I would my own.

I cater mainly for small and medium sized dogs with our transportation system consisting of individual crates for each dog with their own soft fleece to lie on which keeps them safe and secure whilst we are en-route.

I provide off-lead walks in the morning and in the afternoon with a duration of around two hours, depending on pick up location and where we go for the walk. So far, we’ve had a lot of fun on both woodland trails and hilltop paths and had some cooling and cleaning fun in the many rivers and streams that intertwine our beautiful landscape.”

‘How much does it cost for a dog walker’ is a question often asked by dog owners who are looking for some help in looking after and exercising their dogs. We all have busy lives these days and we cannot always dedicate the amount of time that we would like to our much loved pets. Some dogs need more exercise than others. Collies and Spaniels are particularly in need of a lot of running and walking and stimulation. Our walks can provide both. Please do contact us if you would like to find out more.
